How is a Virtual FD different from my accountant?
Your accountant typically looks back: year-end accounts, tax returns and compliance. A Virtual FD looks forward: forecasting, planning, funding and helping you make decisions during the year.
How much does a Virtual FD cost?
Our packages start at £750 a month for around half a day's support, rising to £3,000 a month for three to four days. That's a fraction of the salary, pension and recruitment costs of a full-time Finance Director.
Do you work on site or remotely?
Both. Much of the work can be done remotely using your accounting software, and we come to you for key meetings across the North East.
Am I tied into a long contract?
No. There's a 3-month initial term so we have time to make a real difference, and after that you can move up or down a package as your needs change.
What happens in the first month?
We start with a free, no-obligation chat to understand your business and goals. Once you're on board, we review your current figures and systems, agree the priorities, and set up the reporting you'll get each month.
What's the difference between a Virtual FD and a Non-Executive Director?
A Virtual FD works hands-on with your numbers. A Non-Executive Director sits on your board to give independent challenge and advice on strategy, without being involved in the day-to-day finance work.
